About the Health Coach
Hey, Hi, Hello!!
I'm Hilary Stewart, founder and health coach at Rediscover Wellness LLC in Winston-Salem, NC.

I work with men and women who feel overwhelmed by their daily duties to discover tools and strategies that create lasting lifestyle change. I help individuals feel stronger, happier, and healthier so they can be more productive on the job and more fulfilled at home.
These days are tough. Even with technology as our organizational sidekick, our days seem to get busier. Responsibilities to our families and our career keep us constantly on the move. As we focus more on those responsibilities, we often neglect our own needs, especially our health. And then there's the stress of it all-- I get it; I've been there too!

Achieving optimal health isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. We each come from unique backgrounds and have different abilities, desires, and needs. As a health coach, I understand the challenges and frustrations of making and sticking with lifestyle changes. It's simply human nature to resist change. If you've struggled with tracking gadgets, mobile apps or maintaining consistent healthy practices, working with a health coach could be just what you need!
Health coaching goes beyond just improving your health. Health coaches act as guides, offering the right tools, resources, and support needed to keep you confident and motivated on your wellness journey. Managing health can be challenging without personalized help, and doctors often lack the time or training to create a detailed wellness plan. Health coaches are active listeners and compassionate communicators who strive to understand what deeply motivates you. Better health starts with the right mindset and requires time and patience, qualities that health coaches bring to the table to support your experience.

My previous work as a Certified Dental Assistant, combined with my science-based educational background, has allowed me to discover the profound impact that taking care of your health has over your overall well-being. When you give your body what it needs, both your physical and mental health are strengthened, leading to a greater sense of purpose and increased happiness As a result, your relationships flourish, your focus improves, your energy is enhanced, and you develop a positive self-image. Together, these elements allow you to thrive and live optimally.

I hold a Master Health Coach Certification from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, which is partnered with the American Council on Exercise, recognized by the American Medical Association, and accredited by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching. My education focused on evidence-based coaching methods to support behavior change, advanced health education on chronic disease and disease prevention, and maintaining a client-centered approach. Additionally, I've earned two life-stage certifications through the institute: L.E.A.N. Start for teaching healthy living to families and Prime Time Health for guiding adults of all ages towards healthier living.
In addition to my health coach certifications, I hold a diploma in dental assisting from Forsyth Tech Community College, where I graduated at the top of my class. I also completed and passed the Dental Assisting National Board to earn my certification. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My diverse educational background and commitment to continuous learning have deepened my understanding of human health and well-being. Drawing from both my professional and personal experiences, I approach health coaching with a holistic and evidence-based perspective.

When I'm not coaching, I enjoy being active and challenged by Pilates, strength training, and cardio. In the kitchen, I eagerly experiment with nutritious whole-food dishes and healthier baked goods to win the taste approval of my family. I love sharing quality time with my family and friends, exploring the outdoors, gardening, reading, networking, helping others, and cherishing the funny and adorable moments with my fur-babies- Theo, a 13-year-old Shih Tzu, and Tessa, a 10-year-old Australian Shepherd mix.
